A 2004? I'd try to get him up to $3K or split the difference at $2750 and take it. I assume it's well over 100K miles by now.

Never sell anything to a family member, neighbor, or friend. ANYTHING that goes wrong will be held against you, no matter how long after the sale!

With a car, this is even worse. 5K miles down the road and a drivetrain issue pop's up, you can be sure that you'll hear about it and more than likely asked to help $ wise with the fix.

Learned that lesson years ago. Lost 5K rather than cause family friction.

And how is the transmission doing in that rocket? How many miles on it? Has the trans been replaced yet? 2004 its an orbiter that could land soon.

If theres any problems clean and check every inch of the battery cables top to bottom.
