It hasn't worked in months. I thought it was the pump and replaced it a couple of weeks ago. I tried testing it, including tying the lever to the steering wheel so I could go outside to the pump and try to hear it. Nothing. No water. No noise. I figured it was a wiring issue and didn't want to mess with it further. Fast forward to yesterday. I removed the bumper so that I could shift the radiator out a bit to get some more room while working on the timing chain. It was then that I noticed that the new pump had gotten so hot that the case softened and ballooned out. That means it's not a wiring issue, but still, no flow to the windows. Confused, I blew into each hose and was surprised to find each blocked. Not restricted by the tiny sprayer nozzles, blocked. This has me confused. I could see the front OR the rear lines getting clogged, but what are the chances that both are? This makes me think that there are valves somewhere in the system. It makes sense, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to choose the front or the rear independently. However, I can find nothing referencing a valve. The wiring diagrams I can find only show the pump motor.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?
