Lifting the MO

How do you gents lift your MO when you want to lift e.g. both rear wheel off the ground?

I have a single floor-jack, and 2 sturdy supports.

On my other cars I placed the jack aside from the "official lift point" and placed the support under the "official lift point".

I just don;t know if the MO can handle to be lifted in this manner, and would like to be warned against this in case it will damage something

Thanks in advance

Did you even read the link pilgrim gave? On that thread kirs posted a diagram showing the front and rear garage lift points. That is where you put your floor jack to lift either end at once. And on the left and right side is where you put your jack stands--same position as using the emergency jack in your trunk when you get a flat.

Sounds like you are not lifting it properly. What canister are you afraid of damaging? Are you lifting one side at a time? That is not the way to do it. Its very dangerous. You lift from the center garage lift points. Enlarge the diagram so you can pin point where exactly it is on your car. And if you have a small floor jack...you may find it not enough to clear the height you need. Using wood blocks on top of the floor jack may work but getting a floor jack that goes to 21 inches would be better/safer.

Sorry Nitely!!! Yes I did read the whole thing, BUT I also overlooked the thumbnail image by Kris. I saw the later ones which showed the same type of stands I have and use.

I haven't lifted anything yet, I was asking just such that I didn't do a stupid thing, just trying to look forward, but missed the point!!

Sorry and thanks for pointing me in the right direction:)
