I am trying to figure out if there is anything or any place where I can set, so that during the day the lcd screen will be at one brightness level, and in the evening at a different brightness level. Trying to see where you set it so it changes automatically from one level to another (detecting day or night setting???).
Help will be appreciated.

It's all in the Owner's Manual. Look in chapter 4 (Display Screen, Heater, ...) under the "Day/Night Button" section. If my pdf file correctly coincides with the hard copy manual then you should find it on page 4-10 (2007 model).

I know that the night/day button can change between two settings of brightness, but what I wonder is if this setting can change automatically. For example, when you start the car and it is day time, the brighter setting will set, and if you start the car at night, the dimmer setting can set. Is that something that can be done in the MO?

That is how it works... however it considers night time settings with parking/headlights are turned on.
