Does anyone know what the red light is that is in the ceiling in the back seat? I have no idea what it is or what it means.

Red light in the back seat of a car. Do you REALLY have to ask???:D

Actually, it's a "mood light" that provides a little bit of light for your passengers so that they can find an ink pen that they dropped, maybe. There is one up front too. To me, they are sort of cool, but functionally useless.

It's the ejection seat warning indicator. Normally it is off. Red means the seat is armed. A blinking red light means ejection is imminent. When it starts blinking I suggest you buckle up.

Actually, it is Nissan's version of mood lighting.

Must be an LE thing. My 11' SL only has the light in the front door handles and near the rearview mirror.

Thanks for the pic. I like those lights. You don't think they're doing anything until you cover them up. The ones behind the front door handles don't do much though...other than accent lighting. I have the dual sunroof but that doesn't look to be where the sunroof is and someone here stated they have both the light AND the dual sunroof.
