In order to increase ground clearance, I removed the spoiler under the front bumper after reading the shop manual. It was supposed to be a matter of removing several push in clips but there must have been a mid cycle change to make the thing beefier as there were 4 additional bolts and nuts with a plastic reinforcement beam. The whole assembly seemed sturdier but was a pain to take apart!
I removed some push in clips from the belly pan to gain access to the beam then pryed off the nuts from the spoiler with a screwdriver and it slid right out; the nuts are galvanized steel slip on type. Then I tucked the front of the belly pan under the bumper cover (it was originally below) and put 4 push in clips as it was hanging loose without the bolts. I almost decided to put everything back the way it was before I realized there must be a way. When there's a will, there's a away! It looks great. Sorry no pics for now...
