Yes there is an east way to shut the car off and leave the radio on. Just press the on/off button twice very quickly. It might take some practice but it's easy to master. This drove me nuts when I first got my Mo. I assumed that there had to be a way and I discovered it by accident.

You don't need to practice hitting the button fast. Hit the button to stop the engine, have your foot off the brake, and click once more to put it into accessory mode. If you want to exit the vehicle, you'll click twice on the start button. It's all in the manual.

 

Hitting stop button twice quickly is the better alternative. Try it...

It's kinda like a double click of a mouse on a computer.

 

Did anyone ever figure out a work-around for this problem? Or is there an aftermarket circuit that can be purchased to fix this issue? It really is annoying to have to leave the engine running just to finish a phone call, or radio program.

Yes I read the thread... and a number of others. The problem is in the 2015 model, If you turn off the engine, the radio/phone connect/etc. ALL STOP. Two quick taps does NOT work. You have to wait 10-15 sec for the radio to boot up again. All we need is a circuit that leaves power on the radio for awhile, or at least enough time for you to get it in the ACC mode.

 

Yeah like every other car on the road does, just leave the power on the radio until driver opens their door, come on Nissan this is a no brainer! even my 15 yo Dodge did that, this is a disappointment to me too in my 2017 Murano and it's such a proven, easy and cheap circuit to put into a vehicle, geeze!
