Hello everyone, I own a 2011 Nissan Murano SL AWD. So I am getting the battery and brake lights come on and off and won't accelerate. I have to pull over and shut the car off and turn it back on and most of the time it goes away. There is no light on but there is a stored code that is speed sensor A. Now is this speed sensor A the problem and if so where is it located please. I desperately need advice has this car is my daily driver and I use it to deliver orders. It is my money maker. Thank you.

A quick test wouldn't show long term issues with the charging system. You need to monitor the voltage of the battery from starting the car and monitoring it while driving. You find that when the two icons light up the battery voltage has dropped. This usually happens once the engine compartment had been heated up for a while.

Good luck.

Have a good day.

All the signs that there is an issue with the charging system.

That's why I stated that a two-minute test will not always show an electrical issue. This is particularly true of the Murano's.

I'll bet a hundred dollars that your alternator has an issue after running for some time, dropping the voltage output.

Have a good day.

I am driving it dropped to 13.1v and then the lights came on and it was having a problem accelerate and it was jumping from 16.1v-17.1v
The charge warning lamp comes on when the alternator isn't charging the battery when commanded to do so or when it's overcharging. You seem to have the latter problem.

You need to fix whatever is going on with the charging system before addressing any DTCs you're finding when scanning the ECM/TCM because this electrical problem may be causing the DTCs.

Many people here will say oem only. I diy-ed a Bosch reman almost 3 years ago now in my 2nd gen and have been fine. Lots of stories here about failures though. Good luck finding an oem one. Lots of stories here about people going to Nissan and not able to get a Nissan alternator too. Look around and see what options you find. Let us know how you end up making out.
