Thought people might be interested in some of the statistics that I have been collecting for my Murano.
Most people (I would say ALMOST all, save just a couple of us nut-jobs) have no idea what the true cost of ownership is for their vehicles. People think about the purchase price, sometimes about the interest on their loans, and occasionally know how much they pay for gas on a semi-weekly basis, but not the overall package.
As most of you know, I have a seriously large and very very straight and sturdy pole shoved right up my arse when it comes to keeping records about my vehicles.
I have been keeping track of EVERYTHING related to my murano, including insurance, registration, all repairs/accessories/maintenance, gas statistics (every tank I record date, brand, grade, gallons, total price, number of miles, MPG and Average Speed from the trip computer, then calculate price/gallon, cost per mile, mpg and running mpg based on those numbers).
Here's my summary page listing some key overall figures.
