To my knowledge, nothing has become available. It's either OEM from the dealer or KYB which is the OEM. This platform has been around long enough that I'm rather surprised that something hasn't become available. Sure wish that Bilstein would step up!

Interestingly enough, I was once at a tire shop getting some tires mounted. They were doing struts on a Lexus RX. Appeared to be the same KYB struts.

 

Yeah, KYB is the only replacement I've found, and they state that their's are OEM units. I'm looking for some more control and less body roll and dip, something I've always done to my Jeeps. The Murano isn't mentioned in other catalogs, including the Monroes and Gabriels!

 

I used the KYBs when I did the shocks on my 2003. Cheaper

 

But, did you notice any better control with their shocks versus the originals?

 

No, basically the same shocks. I replaced them around 40K. My 03 was an SE which had a slightly stiffer suspension. The shock part #s were the same however. My 09 LE is also starting to show some loss of shock control at 40K. Time to start looking for new ones. Hear us Bilstein???!!!
