Hey guys,
New to the forum, and new to the Murano. Driven nothing but Nissans all my life, and love my '09 Murano SL. I'm still figuring things out and came across an interesting thing.

If you're sitting in the back seat, looking at the center console, and flip up the little hinged door, you see a Yellow/Red/White input jack. Obviously this is for a video input, however, the trim model I have is SL FWD, Bose, Dual moonroof, leather, and NO Navi. Is this just an artifact that it was cheaper for the factory to include the jack in all consoles, even though it's hooked up to nothing, or is there still more for me to learn about the Murano?

Thanks for your expertise.

Also, no DVD system, and I got it used this past Monday.

You may be able to play videos with the display screen.
The manual says:
Auxiliary input jacks
The auxiliary input jacks are located on the rear
side of the center console. NTSC compatible
devices such as video games, camcorders and
portable video players can be connected to the
auxiliary jacks. Compatible audio devices, such
as some MP3 players, can also be connected to
the system through the auxiliary jacks.
The auxiliary jacks are color coded for identification
purposes.
. Yellow - video input
. White - left channel audio input
. Red - right channel audio input
Before connecting a device to a jack, turn off the
power of the portable device.
With a compatible device connected to the
jacks, push the AUX button repeatedly until the
display switches to the AUX mode. The output
from the device will be played through the
monitor and audio system.
