When I saw Phoenix54's posts on installing OEM Nav, I decided to make the same thing. Phoenix54 was really very helpful inventor
It took around one year or more to find all the required parts, and I was so patient to collect all of them!
I tried so many times to follow PHOENIX's instructions but I haven’t had the chance to see my project completed as he did, as I was getting all the information on my NEW screen but the CLIMATE control and the outside temp were not showing up on my screen, but PHOENIX has kindly given me the solution of my issue.
I was completely unable to find CAN-L within my integrated connector but PHOENIX told me to go again and have another look at my integrated connector and try to find the VERY IMPORTANT COUPLE (CAN-H/CANH) and he said that CAN-H and CAN-L both HAVE to be there someplace but I was totally depressed!!!
PHOENIX said that they should be a twisted pair, a blue wire and a yellow wire wrapped around each other, Remove some of the black plastic electrician's tape from the harness behind the integrated display connector and count how many wires are in that bundle. They HAVE to be there someplace! THIS WAS THE KEY
Finally, I FOUND them 'twisted pair' a blue wire and a light PINK wire wrapped around each other, then I’ve realized that they are CAN-H/CAN-L, then completed the whole thing again and turned out great.
ONCE AGAIN, THANKS PHOENIX FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
NOW, the display functions EXACTLY as it would have if it left the factory as a MO with color display and OEM navigation. All functions work including maintenance reminders, heating/AC display, radio display, outside temperature, etc.
MANY THANKS TO PHOENIX XXX
Here is picture of my weird integrated connector!!
