Hi njjoe,

Sorry about my reply times, like I mentioned am in Nairobi, Kenya and we are probably 7-8 hours ahead. So we communicate when the other is either asleep or out at night!!!

My buttons as you can see from this pic........... are also labelled in Japanese....... The ENTER button is straightforward but am clueless which is the PREV button or RESET key............... I have just downloaded the entire 2005 US spec owners manual (from http://www.courtesyparts.com/pdf/2005-Nissan-Murano.pdf ) but the centre jog dial on the dash, looks different from what I have..... I will try and experiment with the info, see what I stumble upon.

How does my picture compare to your MO? If it does exactly, then can you send me a link to your owners manual so hopefully I'll be able to do a step by step button sequence to access the correct menu items..........

Cheers!!!

that layout is Japanese exclusive it seems, here in Europe (and I believe Australia as well), we have a very different one. Sorry can't help...

Mr.Wendel-

Sorry, but all US-spec MOs have a different switch layout.

I went on the Japanese Nissan website and was able to access the English version, but unfortunately there was no link to an English version of the Japanese manual. I know it was a long-shot but I figured it was worth the effort. Sorry.

It's interesting how a car manufacturer will make multiple versions of the exact same vehicle. This is 100% different than what we have in the US.

Hi njjoe,
Thanks for all the great effort........... Seems am going to have to learn Japanese if am going to use that NAV screen, or memorize button sequences to get to the other car features!!!

Warhammer,
Am now learning that the Japanese make exclusive models for their market and don't bother adding language options...... even though it costs them nothing........ I wonder why they allow these cars to be sold to other non-Japanese speaking countries - without a translation manual???

Hey I love the car anyways.......... I'll live....

Cheers Everyone!!!!

Don't give up yet. If I were you I would go to the Japanese consulate and ask someone there, even a visitor, to help you with the translations. I am sure they would be willing to do so.

................. I 'll keep trying with the translation thing, coz I also discovered that my 2005 MO can play Asia region DVD's!!!!!! The TV also shows fuzzy black and white pictures............ Can't wait to find out how to hook it up to show crystal clear TV broadcasts!!!!!

Mr. Wendal I am in Mozambique & have the same model as yours, the tv seems to be B&W because of the system we use here in Africa our is mostly in pal.. As for the DVD I am curious does it play in the front CD player, by the way has yours got anything under the front passenger seat with audio/video cable & a SIM card, I suspect it's something like a satellite radio

Hi, I'm n South America and I have the same screen as you! I would like to hookup my bluetooth phone, but due to the Japan characters (and voice) I'm unable understand the menu and settings. Did you find a solution how this can be changed to English? Do we need to buy a chip or something that needs to be replaced?
