Well i've replaced the stepper motor and now it wont move in any gear..i disconnected the battery while i did this job .not sure if that could cause this problem ..but it acts like its in safe mode ? And suggestions...

Presumably, the car actually changed gears and drove before you started all this?

The stepper motor is connected to the ratio control valve via a pivoting arm. Did you make sure that the forks on either side of this arm are seated in both the stepper motor arm and ratio control valve?

There's a TSB that goes through a valve body installation and has a part that talks about this (see PDF attachment). Hope this helps. Let us know if you figure it out.

Yeah, we have seen this reported a couple of times recently...

Anyone else considering replacing their internal CVT filter should carefully inspect the depth of the fluid pickup, compare it to your original filter.

Yes, and this is why it's important to include all the details on what's been done to the car when asking for help. If this information had been included in the original post, I would have replied right away that the aftermarket CVT filters available out there are not manufactured correctly (the oil pickup is too long) and will cause oil starvation.

See for example these threads:

2010 Murano transmission drain, fill and fail =(

code PO725

Nevertheless, good to hear the car is apparently driving fine now.
