Ok, I know I am a newbie but here I go....

I just bought a 2006 Superblack AWD S Murano.
I got a super deal on it from a fleet wholesaler. But unfortunately, I was not able to customize any of the features.

My main goal is to install IPOD audio to the MO. I looked into the PAC Aux Audio AAI-NIS solution and I believe that still seems to be my best choice?

My new MO came with a color screen... does anyone know if this is as good of the quality of the NAV screen? Has anyone modded a PC or XBOX to this?

I live in the Miami area and I am pretty handy... however if someone has a solution with the existing NON-NAV new color 06 MO screen or can do some type of carputer or XBOX package for me, I am interested.

I have had the car two weeks and have already started these mods:

1) Changed seats out to leather - cafe latte. ($1,000)

2) Front window Tints. ($100)

3) Purchased a Homelink /Compass / Auto Dim Rear view off of Ebay with wiring harness. ($150 - great deal)

4) Purchased Altima fog light kit off of EBay. Generic switch. ($100)

5) Still debating whether to add to the Roof Rack.

Yikes...

I pulled out both relays and stuck the wire in the proper hole and reconnected the relay so the wire would stay stuck.

I used a seperate wire for each relay. Then spilced the two together.

You can test each wire by connecting them to ground (any metal screw) and it should light up your low lights or your fogs depending on which wire you are testing with.

Once they are spliced together it should light up both lights simultaneously when you turn on your headlamps from inside the car.

Good luck.
UCF,

So i treid again this morning and the wire test works on any metal screw with both wires, fogs and lowbeams work but when i put them together nothing works. So i pulled both wires out and tested my lowbeams and nothing. Do I have to ground these wires to a metal screw? & Why don't the headlights come on like normal any more? Like before I attempted this Mod. I've also noticed that when i attached the wires to test the low beams & fogs and it worked the lowbeams are now on with the parking lights(which i believe the parking lights are the first setting on the light stalk switch which turn on the front park, side marker, tail, license plate & instrumnet panel lights). Please advise, thanks for all your help.

Sorry for the delay...

Most likely you might have accidentally connected the wrong wires together and blown a fuse.

You can probably just take it to Nissan and have them fix it under warranty.

I dont suggest you mention the wiring, because that could void your warranty.

Good luck.

I thought they all come standard.......;)

I'd check the fuses first before taking it to Nissan. Its not worth the time at the dealership for a fuse. Plus they may ask too many questions and poke arround as to why the fuse blew.
K_garten,

Where are the fuses for the headlights located? I've checked the ones inside the cabin & the ones inside the engine compartment but can't find any fuses that are marked head lights.

It's the computer in the engine compartment that grounds the relays for the low beams and fogs. if you ground them out and they come on, then the computer is not sending them the ground signal. It may be another fuse not necesarily for the low beams and fogs. Check em all to be safe.

Are the lights not working at all now?

K,

The ground "test" works, putting both wires to a metal screw to test, but when i put them together nothing happens. Like i said in an earlier post even now when i take the wires out of the relays it still doesn't work. But i will check all the rest of the fuses good thought. How would i know if a relay doesn't work? will it not work like a fuse or is there another indicator.

Thanks again,

I have a 2006 Murano S AWL and also would like to install fog lights. Is there a place to get the actual replacement kit for the Murano or is it best to use Altima lights as you did? Where can you get the chrome bezels?

Also, I to want to tap my color display for DVD and carputer but am unsure if it can be done easily. Does anyone have the wiring and display specs? There are many harnesses that connect to the Nav display, but I don't know if the non-nav display is set up the same.

Same lights, not sure about bezel. But sure you can find it at ebay.
