Hi All

06 Murano, when i try to use the windshield washer the driver side sprays extremely low on the windshield, I had the car in for oil change at the dealer and they said the washer nozzle needs to be replaced, they tried adjusting the nozzle but were not successful, quoted me 116 for the job...anyone else deal with this issue and have any suggestions or ideas on what I can do to maybe fix the issue....i know im not suppose to stick a pin into the nozzle as i read on some other posts after doing a search

Thanks

Driver side windscreen washer useless

I don't have a solution for the problem but just want to revive the thread. I have a RH drive Murano and driver side nozzle barely reaches the screen. One solution is to lift the hood as the jet plays on to the underside of the hood. A little impractical on the go though  As it also appears to be a problem on LH drive someone must have solved it.

Is it a problem of water pressure, aiming or faulty nozzle ?

system is not under friendly, over all washer/wiper system was not designed with snow in mind... in the winter ice build up in the washer/wiper area, freezes, and then you cant move or lift the wipers, the nozzles get blocked and you cant clear the snow...bad bad bad design

I cleared the holes in the nozzles with a pin as they must have been blocked by dirt, that helped get them to spray like new, try that

1st gens FSM recommends replaing the nozzle and do not use a pin because they are not adjustable.

2nd gens are a different design and the FSM says to use a pin to adjust.

Perhaps you can replace yours with a 2nd gen nozzle if it fits.

I know this is kinda old, but has anyone tried swapping these nozzles? I am having the same issue would love a simple fix like swapping the nozzles.

I had a problem with driver's side nozzle pointed too low.

I managed to pry it upwards and slide a simple flat washer under the front of the nozzle, pointing it farther up the windshield. Friction seems to be holding it in OK.

It's a cheap fix if it works.

I had thoughts of using a heat gun to soften the plastic on which the nozzle is mounted and re-shape it to change the angle, but that had too much potential for causing more problems than I might solve.

I just fixed this issue

It's the plastic part which the nozzle installed dropped. So if you just have the car maintained, this is most likely the issue, they didn't put the plastic part back to the position. You need to move them up to the position.
