2009 Nissan Murano vs 2002 Honda CRV?

I am old and low-income and have zero auto DIY experience. I have a 2002 Honda CRV 5-speed manual AWD with a couple issues but the drivetrain is fine and only 104000 miles. Someone gave me their 2009 Nissan Murano not AWD, automatic, which operates fine at 173000 miles.

I would like to sell one. I'm aware of the potential for CVT issues with the Murano, and its mileage is pretty high.

All the Honda folks I consult say to sell the Murano and keep the CRV. I'm asking the Nissan Murano forum for YOUR honest opinions/devil's advocacy. Thanks!

Keep the Honda. A Murano is not for someone who needs a car that's dependable AND inexpensive to work on. Especially at 173K miles. Run away!

This is a huge no brainer. But if it was a 2015 crv then it also would have a CVT. Always run far away from any CVT car, it is for sure going to have to have the transmission fixed at some point in time. Oh and sorry there is no fixing them because the dealers will not sell parts for them, they only sell many many thousand dollar replacement transmissions.
And many times the actual parts needed to fix them is less than $500. CVT's where done just for this reason, they cost less to manufacture, and are guaranteed to go bad and needing a $6000. plus dollar bill to replace them.
