Hi.
I triend to find this almost everywhere and i fail...
I'm owner of 2006 Murano SL AWD (US) with well conditioned engine and transmission but unfortunately rear crossmember and front body quarters are hevily rusted and transfer case still works but makes noise when i accelerate.
I found two EU MOs in great condition, first with damaged engine, secound with damaged transmission.
I got the idea to buy both od them and swap my parts creating two MOs in great body and mechanical condition.
I know the engine is compatible but i can't find nothing about transmission.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I know differences in both transmissions, aditional cooler, differen controls but i can't find are these transmissions (US/EU) mechanically the same and replaceable?

I'll be grateful for help.

If the donor vehicles are also V6 and from the same generation then they should be compatible although if you swap the transmission from one car you should also swap the TCM with it. There's calibration data stored in the ROM assembly inside the transmission that's copied to the TCM and if this doesn't match then it could cause driveability issues.

Frankly, even if you can get the two donor Muranos for a bargain, I'm not sure it would be worth all the effort given that you would be restoring 15+ year old cars and the 1st generation Murano is notorious for becoming money pits. If you're set on doing this then the VQ35DE engine is pretty sound so I would suggest putting the known good transmission and TCM into the Murano with the good engine and get that working. If all ends up well then turn your attention to the other one. If you do so, be sure to update this thread on how things are progressing.

Seeing the list of your cars in your welcome post, I think this is a questionable project. The series 1 Muranos have a higher failure rate than later models, and you're going to have to invest a lot of work in doing a swap.

As far as I know the engines are compatible with the transmission, but note the details in the post above.
