Anyone else having problems with their brakes squeaking? Mine has been doing it for awhile every time I pull out of the garage in the morning. Read the same thing on freshalloy.com but nobody seems to have heard about any fix on this.
Had mine changed and it did not help a bit...Both items were replaced, brakes first and then the rotaters..SATELLITEGML said:seems like this particular thread is a bit old but, i can vouch for the squeeky brakes in the morning and so forth, but lately it seems to have become more frequent, even when driving slowly. Is it possible to have the dealer replace the disks in case of glazing?

Yes, its really loud especially when it rains or its really humid outside...SATELLITEGML said:is it possible that its not even the brakes themselves, because the squeaking noise only happens when my foot is lightly on the brakes. It almost sounds like the whistling from a boiling tea kettle. im going to see if i can record the noise.
And how are your lungs? I hope you had a mask on...carbooja said:After grabbing a wire brush and brushing off the rust for about 2 minutes, my brakes work wonderfully quietly...
Man does that sound familiar and in cold weather it was always worse. Like I said somewhere in the thread, the TSB did not do it, the familiar squeal was back the next day. It just went away over time. Not a good answer but that's what happened.bud2 said:Next day same squeal 1st thing in the morning. I will attempt to add my own lubricant fix to pad shims. If anyone has a fix that works, let me know. [/B]
Hmmm, I'm still on original brakes at 48K.bluemurano said:Hi All, I am new here...
Does anyone know if I can file a complaint about this? Will the dealership pay for the replacement? Thanks!
Here ya go Gonzo, sure this is an old TSB but I can't imagine why it does not apply today since they obvioulsy never changed anything in production.Gonzo said:A friend on mine has an 07 MO and his brakes squeak.... I can't seem to find any TSB on this for his year. Does anyone know if one exist?

I'm just trying to think of a road around here where I can do that without getting pulled over...![]()
