2003-2004 Muranos had an alternator recall - you should make sure any used model you look at had that done. Also, check for leaking transfer/transmission seals, as these can lead to those components failing down the line.

I do notknow where do you live but VDC is one feature that every CUV, SUV should have. Good luck in your search....
I agree, if you want VDC, do not settle for one without it. The system seriously works, and has probably saved my bacon a few times in the MO.

HI

According to my new brochure about the Nissan Rogue(smaller
version of the Murano), it has VDC standard on the S and SL model.
It also has steering wheel mounted paddle shifters....according to the book, it gets 27 mpg, over 400 miles in the tank.

I'm still considering getting this. The base price for a 2008 FWD
Rogue, 2.5 4cyl SL CVT is $20,670.00. The 2007 Murano SL V6 FWD is 29,380. Lot less and brand new. I, myself don't care about the paddle shifters cause we don't do that much driving on hilly terrain to use them. ... but, if you are into racing, you might. It says Formula One drivers have used them for years.

Good Luck with the new baby and Congrats.
Recent reviews of the Rogue show it does get better mileage than a Murano (obviously) but not quite 27mpg - it is more like 21-23mpg overall, which is still much better than a Murano.
