I saw this on the FA dark side & thought it would be interesting here.....

Mine was just car number 5 in my stable.

I need to free up my Accord for my 16 Year Old.

My Cutlass is off limits! I got too crazy building it up when I was a young pup & I know what I did with a 350/350!:D

And I would never punish my boys by making them drive the Caravan.

I just said goodbye to my 1995 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4WD. <sigh> She was a good one.

But I've now said hello to my 2004 Nissan Murano SL AWD! Wahoo! Looking forward to the same kind of dependable years that I had from the Pathfinder.
Congratulations and welcome to the MO family. :) :) :)

1998 Dodge Dakota pickup.

Just when you think you've got your life all nice and settled it jumps up and smacks you in the back of the head.

It suddenly became very impractical to own a big pickup truck (and gas prices had very little to do with it.)

Before the Dak was a 1992 Acura (which, coincidentally, was the same color combination as the new Murano.)

I replaced my 2005 4Runner with the Mo S,,,,,,,,had it since Dec 27 and loving it so far. Had the Runner on 3 year lease and it was a great ride but just a little more ride than I needed since I didn't use it off road. Would have gotten another but couldn't match the great lease deal I had. However the Mo is great and glad I got it.

'05 Murano SiLver SL

1996 Volvo 850 GLT Wagon, nicest car I've ever owned. (I hope the Murano can live up to the quality of the old Volvo!) I think I will get to keep it to reduce the town and winter driving for the Cummins Ram. The Murano is for the 'Missus', so she doesn't get stuck arond town in the winter, and for better clearance on her adventures!

2003 Maxima GLE,
2003 Frontier XE,

Being a tall guy 6'7 and driving a 06 avalanche at work the morano feels like a lazy boy on wheels

98 Explorer Eddie Bauer, 180,000 miles and still going strong. It owes us nothing and the wife an I are keeping it as the "beater" for Home Depot runs and as the dog car for our usually filthy border collie.

Love my MO tho'

Whoa! Gatr, that looks ugly! Were you guy OK?
Suffered a collapsed lung, ruptured diaphragm, four broken ribs, severely contused thigh, severely displaced stomach and a broken clavicle bone.

I don’t remember a thing…just waking up in the hospital two days later with my family all around me. Spent a couple of days in the ICU and was released home after 10-days in the hospital…

They said that since I had all my windows down and did not see the truck coming (Chevy s-10), I did not tense up and my body just went with the impact. I didn’t have any cuts either since my windows were down.

It was great to be young (25 at the time) and lucky.

Three years later....All I have now is a nice foot-long scar on my stomach and aches from time to time on my collarbone.

When I first read this, I didn't know if you were referring to the car or your new bride.

2005 Murano replacing 1998 Mercedes ML320. The Benz has been a great soldier — a capable hauler of kids and stuff and an absolute beast in the snow, but it's very expensive to repair and is feeling a little dated these days. I rented a Murano when they first came out and was very impressed. Decided to look for a used Murano when the Benz turned 10 this year, and finally bought one this past weekend.

2002 Ford Escape XLT AWD
2004 Acura TSX

I wanted to go down to one car (and payoff some old debt in the process) so for me, the murano was a good compromise between what I loved most about those two vehicles.

Previous cars:

1990 Geo Prizm - High school days
1990 Toyota Camry LE V6 - College days
2000 Honda Accord EX - First Job (and dead Camry trans at 119K)
2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 4x4 - What was I thinking??

My 04 MO SL AWD replaced a 02 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. Unfortunately, it was vandalized and the insurance company had to total it.

Ultimately, I think I made a step up. The MO is more comfortable, does an average of 4MPG better when driving around town (or 5MPG better when on the highway), has better room for the family, etc.

Plus...it's BLUE! :D

I replaced my 2001 Audi TT Quatto Coupe.

We had our first child in August and I needed something bigger.

It was between the Murano and the BMW X3. Found a Murano with all the toys for thousands less than I could touch an X3 and figured maintenance would be less with the Nissan. I will miss my manual transmission, but I like the car so far.

doesnt your murano have 6 disc cd changer and leather seats and moon roof and awd?......

sure the 4wd on the jeep actually works off road but at least the murano is much better on road....
