I saw this on the FA dark side & thought it would be interesting here.....

Mine was just car number 5 in my stable.

I need to free up my Accord for my 16 Year Old.

My Cutlass is off limits! I got too crazy building it up when I was a young pup & I know what I did with a 350/350!:D

And I would never punish my boys by making them drive the Caravan.

Our Murano Replaced a 1996 318Ti Club Sport. That was a pretty nice car and we laboured over whether to replace it or my 1998 SVT Contour. BMW got the nod since we could get more money for it. That makes 3 3 Series compacts that have been replaced with Muranos. Interesting.

We got the Murano in Sept 2003. Funny thing is the tires on the BMW had rock hard Pirelli P6000's and they still had 50% tread left over 70000km. :p

Now that it's almost time to replace the Contour I wish I had traded it in instead of the BMW. The Contour's been a great car but the resale value, Yikes! :3: At least it has lost almost no value over the last 18 months.

I haven't learned my lesson yet with the Ford resale value as I'm replacing it with a 2003 SVT Focus ZX5 that previously belonged to my brother in law in Washington.

97 Jeep Wrangler Sport

I haven't sold it yet, haven't even listed it. Having separation anxiety. It has over 150k and I put 25 to 30k on my vehicle a year, so I knew I'd need something new.

I LOVE this MO! It's an awesome ride. Will still be tough to see the Jeep go.

My MO replaced my 2001 VW Jetta.

The car was (for the most part) great and for the first new car I ever bought myself it was tough letting it go. Of course the fact that a local dealer ripped the drivers side door off during a basic oil change and then never really got the car back to where it should be helped out. Well, that and seeing my new MO waiting in the parking lot too.

The quality of the ride in the Jetta had me seriously looking at the Touareg (sp?) but $$$ issues made the MO make so much more sense. Can't say I've regretted my decision yet.

Did they ever fix the power windows?

I was considering a Jetta a couple of years ago as a second car, but a buddy (married to my niece (Nephew in law? :p)) told me not to do it.
His lease was always getting a window fixed.

Our MO replaced an 04 Max SE... Got rid of it because it rode like a brick.. Got tired of feeling every little twig in the road.. My Dodge RAM 1500 Quad Cab rode better...

nice!! alot of loyal nissan fans here.. i also had a 2002 nissan spec v.. she was my daily driver as well.. i sure do miss her.. that is until i drive the Mo again then all is well :D
Yep, we are a Nissan Family. I started with a 93 Altima GLE in college, then 94 Infiniti J30t, Nissan Spec V. My wife had the 99 Altima GLE and now the MO!

I want my next car to be G35 coupe or (from what I "heard) the 2007 Skyline when they bring it to the States.

I love driving the MO, it almost makes me want one, but two in one family may be a bit much.

The '05 Mo replaced a '97 Maxima SE auto; that replaced a 1983 Datsun 200SX 5spd. with over 200k miles..

We had a few other rides in between... but a Nissan was always in the stable of cars

The Max is going strong at 130k miles... :1:

Replacing a 2.0 liter 19997 Honda CRV.

The inspections here are getting too expensive.

Thats what I did. I was sorry to see it go....
Same here. I have logged a lot of kilometers in the CRV and really enjoyed driving it. We have mandatory inspections of the entire car every 2 years and once the car reaches a certain age it is every year. You need to replace anything the inspectors say needs replacing. Keeps the old cars off the road and helps the domestic manufacturers sell more cars. Guaranteed sales. In fact, this time of year is a big selling season beacuse of the inspections.

The last inpection cost me about $2000. It is now 2 years later and I don't want to pay that again. So the car goes to the second hand shop - with new electronics. Ironically the electronics are probably worth more than the car.

2000 Buick LeSabre Custom, cloth interior...great, large family sedan, practical in many ways...not enough "fun", and frankly, being 43 now...I couldn't afford the "old man car" image any more (in damage to my ego).

Sold it to my church's music director...he's thrilled...and so am I with my Copper Sunburst Murano. Someone saw me in it this week, from church, and told me I made "too much money". I got it for $33,000...loaded with everything but NAV and traction control.
