I wish everyone was not scared of the CVT so we can have some decent engine and exhaust mods

I wish KYB would make the AGX for the MO

Is there any car that you can't drive with the parking brake on?
My Del Sol wouldn't move an inch if the parking brake was set. And I didn't have to wrench on the thing to get it that way. The body would jolt if you tried, but the parking brake would hold tight.

My wife's Prizm will move if you REALLY try, but you have to have the rpms screeming and it's obviously fighting the clutch a lot. No way to do it accidentally.

In fact, I can't think of any car that I have owned (until my MO) that you could drive with the parking brake set. But then again, I've always had a manual tranny and a hand brake. Perhaps that's the issue. It's not just a matter of openning up the throttle, you can feel it fighting your clutch.

Oh, I just remembered that I once drove my CRX with the parking brake still set. It was winter, the parking lot was solid ice, and I started moving (FWD) and realized that my rear wheels weren't turning. They were just dragging behind me since the brake had them locked! :D

Lately, I've been wishing the CVT could handle enough torque to smoke the tires off a light. It does suck at low speeds when the computer holds back the engine.

I've been able to ALMOST do it by putting it in L when starting on a hill. But then the AWD kicks in and thwarts my attempt... :D

Yeah, sometimes you actually want to do it...

I used to turn off the traction control on my Maxima, for fun and squeal the tires off the line, and hear them chirp into second.

Just once in a while, when I was in the mood...

Saw a guy in a Magnum, smoke them. He considered the poor tire milage, an entertainment expense.

I wish....

I have only owned a MO for a week and I wish for

a lower price.........
a stop button for the CD player........
(what does it do after I change to radio??)
a backup sensor (soon to be added)

Thats it for now

The pause button, off button, and changing to another source, should all stop it.

I wish the suspension was adjustable for a softer ride.

I wish they had backup lights that really worked.

I wish there was a factory warranty supercharger option like Toyota has for their 4 runner.

I wish there was better sound proofing against road noise.

I also wish the radio reception was better.

It's still the best car I have owned so far even though my dealer Svc is very bad.
Had Durango, Highlander

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I, and I would assume others, would be interested in knowing the issues with the Highlander.
A "friend" has one and he is constantly claiming that it is God's gift to SUVs.......

"I wish they had backup lights that really worked."

At least part of that is the heavy tint in the back.
I have a problem with rear/side visibility out those dark windows in unlighted areas.

Highlander was OK, nothing awful. It was just kind of average at everything and did nothing really well.
Gas mileage 16-18 town, 22 Hwy
Seats a little uncomfortable I'm 5' 10" 170
Suspension stiff, Headlights blind oncoming traffic when I tow my boat.
Acceleration a lot less than Murano
Murano tows my boat better.
The Highlander was doing 2800 RPM at
70 MPH, Murano does 1800 RPM
Home oil change was a pain with the Highlander, it's a breeze with the Murano.
Highland was a good average SUV, nothing great, nothing bad.

I wish....

1) it came with a full size (real) spare

2) it had a usable rear-seat cupholder

3) the body panels were thick enough that they would not "give" when washing the doors

I could have used it the other day and I'll say it again...wish it had a power hatch!

Have read a few posts on the weird effect of the CVT when you plant the foot from low revs or a standing start. As I have +/_ shifters I have been playing around with this as I too felt it was bit slow.

If you hold it in 1st, then slip it through the gears the engine revs nicely and you definitely have a sensation of improved acceleration. Have been using +/- up hills and for overtaking it seems like a different car. Great fun !

Wifey told me to stop showing off so I have to do this whilst traveling alone now (no wonder they get nicknamed "the handbrake")

Glad I can't spin the wheels on this thing as I think would have no rubber left :p

I wish the headlights would come on when the wipers were activated (like in my old Grand Cherokee). I wish the doors would lock after going 15 MPH and unlock when you pulled on the interior handle to exit the vehicle.

Tires that are more capable in the snow, more ground clearance by reducing the amount of stuff hanging below the vehicle (center muffler, fuel tank guard, etc.), and full time AWD with a variable center differential. Or at least have the system be user selectable. I loved the Auto/2WD/4HI/4LO selector in my 03 Pathy. Very useful.

Don't tell me I can't manually select AWD above 15mph. Sillyness.
