Nissan Performance Chip - did anyone try this?

I usually don't click on Goolge's ads but this one caught my attention:

$79 Murano Power Chips Add A Nissan Performance Chip & Gain Up to 50 HP. Easy Installation.

Do you know what this is - have you tried it? Their site says it improves the power and gas millage.

Sounds like the old 10 cent resistor gimmick. They put a resistor in series with the air temperature sensor. This "fools" the computer into thinking the engine is cold all the time, so it sends more fuel.
For $79 I would imagine that the resistor is packaged in a nice plastic box.

Worthless.

Homer is right. This is worthless. Plus, Murano's computer will compensate for anything you add to it.

You would do better to spend that extra money on fuel and just be a little heavier on the gas pedal if you want more power.

I have two F150s chipped; my 'fishing' 1997 XLT with a 4.6l engine and my 2001, supercharged, 5.4l Lightning and they perform better with the chips but I would never claim "50 HP" extra with the just a chip added.

Prime BS IMO!
