If you are going the change your cvt oil u must replace both filters, the one in the oil pan which is actually a strainer and there's a filter in the oil cooler bolted to transmission with coolant lines and oil lines connected to it, 9 times outa 10 that filter is blocked up.
Here's what it look like

The Z51 Generation Murano (my Japanese manufactured, Sept 2010, Australian version vehicle) has an external metal can with inlet and outlet ports type filter for the RE0F09B CVT trans. Totally different to the example in post#1
People need to check the CVT version for the correct filters
cheers

I have had nothing but trouble out of 2010 Nissan Murano SL its transmission. The cvt transmissions are a joke. I changed the cvt fluid filter and all. I have 130,000 miles on it. You can start it put it in gear and it won't pull out in reverse or Drive. My advice is to stay away from any Nissan Murano with a cvt transmission. They are nothing but JUNK
