i figured out the best way of getting the nasty look off this beautiful car...all you have to do is unscrew that huge thing and tilt the remaining of the antena forward to get the shark fin look

I must agree that it looks vandalized when bent, but it looks pretty childish the regular way, also. The Ford Focus has their antenna just like that.

Why didn't they run the antenna through the roof or better yet the windshield.

I had a Chevy Astrovan with the antenna in the roof. Hubby's Pacifica has the antenna running through the windshield. It is pretty cool. Looks so sleek without anything waving in the breeze.

It actually frustrates my wife, since she's not used to it. She can never tell how fast she's going. 60 one minute, 80 the next, 40 the next. Engine sounds the same.

Let me take a guess, your wife is a blond, isn't she?

With all due respect, if someone can't regulate their speed even with a big-@ss speedometer staring them in the face then maybe they should consider public transportation. :2:

As a woman, I had absolutely no trouble knowing what speed I was driving. I used to be blonde. Then I got over it and now I am grey. Does that make me smarter?

I think your wife needs to get a grip and start using what God gave her --- her brain and the cruise control!! :p

Joe,

I live in a subdivision with 25 mph speed limit. There are a number of stop signs. One in front of my house. You would not believe how many women driving minivans and SUV’s full of children go through this sign at speed that I would estimate 40mph! I never could understand it! And never will! And off course all of them are on the cell phones and they were the ones who complained about people speeding!

Too be fair I also see ******** with their old pickup trucks doing the same, as well as young guys and girls…..so as you see it is not only related to blonds :)

I agree totally with your statement – if someone can not watch the speed of the car they drive they do not deserve driver license. Let them walk…..

For the life of me I can't really think of a scenario where it would be appropriate to use the cruise control in town - you just can't go for long enough without a stop sign or light.

As for watching your speed, like everyone else here says - thats what the speedometer is for, or you can just keep up with traffic.

It is so fun watching (and participating in) how far off topic these threads get.

Round of applause, everyone, for going from antennas to blond jokes to speedometers in just a matter of hours.

Woohoo!!!

Hey, I just bought a new MO and have a problem with my front windows rolling down by themselves. I don't know why they do that. :8: Can someone help me?

Oh yeah, and I hate my antenna. (Now we are back on topic :D )

Sounds like you have the same problem my MO has. Maybe we should petition Nissan for a recall??

If you are having a problem with windows on your BRAND NEW MO, I have 2 words for you

SERVICE DEPARTMENT

That is what they are there for. You have a new car warranty. You paid for a new car warranty through the nose. Make them work for their money.

Sounds like a door module to me.

SUNSPOT,

Joe was joking....;)

Oh, OK:rolleyes:

We will just chock it up to a senior moment.

As a PS, there are quite a few morons out there who will ask that question. I have a brand new XYZ car and this thing is not working right. What can I do???

Gawd, man. Take it back to the dealership and don't waste MY time!!

No, no, no... wrong attitude. One of the things that makes this such a great forum is the fact that no problem is trivial or moronic. If someone takes the time to post a question then we should have the courtesy to respond. I am sure some of the original members have heard the same set of questions over and over, but to a new MO owner their problem is new to them and they deserve a response.

So, you think the problem with my front windows rolling down by themselves is a bad "door module"? I'll just have to look at that. But first I think I'll take the keyfob out of my back pocket. ;)

Wow, it really is difficult to keep this thread on topic.

Hmmm. Keyfob in back pocket. That is one I never would have thought of. I usually hide my stuff in my Bra. Guess with a name like Joe, you probably don't have that option. :D

When we first got out Pacifica the driver's seat back kept going up and down without warning. It happened once on the freeway while I was driving. SCAREY. The dealership insisted that I bring it in IMMEDIATELY!! It was actually a door module that had gone bad. They ended up having to replace the driver's seat AND the entire inner workings of the driver's door.

This was the mother of all lemon cars. Good thing it was brand new. For the first year, it was in the shop more than it was in our driveway.

SUNSPOT-

You are aware of the keyfob/window interface, aren't you? You can roll down the front windows remotely by using the MO's keyfob. That is what I was joking about.

-njjoe

#49 ·
Nope. Wasn't aware of that. I still don't have my Mo yet. Still waiting on the accountants, financial guys and attorneys to get done with whatever it is they do.

Tell me more about the keyfob and the window story. I am on the edge of my seat.
