If you are looking for comfort then I would stay away from the 45-profile tires.helpless23 said:I want comfort but a better looking tire from the oem.
I agree with the putter, buy them now. You can in the future always resell them if you gain a distaste and if you really do not like the ride you can step up to a higher aspect ratio when you retire. Heh, retireMr3Putt said:
When I upgraded my wheels from 18's to 20's , I experienced none of those pitfalls.
I got a smoother ride, better handling and looks. My mileage had no discernible change.
I think that $500 is a great deal for those wheels. If you don't go for it, you will regret missing out later.
Enjoy.
Perfect. 2MPH you will never notice but aid you in not getting a ticket. :2:njjoe said:helpless23-
Keep in mind that the TOYO Proxes are smaller in diameter than your stock tires (29 vs 30") and the speedometer reading will be over-reporting your speed by 3.3%. An indicated 60mph will actually be 58 mph.
The smaller diameter tire will actually improve your accelleration ever so slightly.

I think thats definitely on the small side for tires. You can use tirerack.com's tire size calculator to figure out what will fit your vehicle. Basically you need to keep the circumference more or less the same (within 5%).helpless23 said:so are the rims and toyo proxes 255/45/20 too small for my mo??? the guy thats selling the rims lives about a 1 hr and a half away from me, so i dont want to make the long drive if they're not going to fit! thanks guys.
It comes down to personal taste and economics.helpless23 said:so are the rims and toyo proxes 255/45/20 too small for my mo???
