Does anyone know if there is a way to change the power lock setting. Right now it's setup to unlock the doors when the car is turned off. Is there a way to change that setting to unlock once the vehicle is put in park?

What is the cost of this. My dealer said they have to bill half hour of technicians charge
Well, if you go to that dealer, the simple answer is that the cost is what he says it is. At many places, a half-hour is the minimum shop charge.

Done but now Power Lock works only once

Got it done by the dealer for free. Now the power unlock works when shifted to Park. But if I keep driving afterwards without turning the car off, the Auto Lock doesn't get activated(even if driving above 15mph) and the doors stay unlocked. Tech says, for Auto Lock to be activated the car has to be turned off and on again to reset it. Did anyone else notice this and is there a fix for this without having to turning the engine off and on.

No. Mine always re-locks when I start driving again..

I saw this in the service manual which might help (Page DLK-24).
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Murano/2015 Murano/dlk.pdf

The automatic door lock function ON/OFF can be switched by performing the following operation:
1. Close all doors (door switch OFF).
2. Ignition switch: OFF→ON
3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the lock direction within 20 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON.
4. The switching is complete when the hazard lamp blinks as follows:
OFF → ON : 2 blinks
ON → OFF : 1 blink

My radio has never kept playing when the ignition is shut off. I didn't think Nissan included the radio in the retained accessory power... just the windows.

Sorry, and back on subject... my doors re-lock at 15mph as well after the door lock update.

It's a small miracle!!! Today after going in for the first oil change...my service Tech finally figured out how to get ALL 4 doors to unlock when shifting into park!! WHOO HOO!!

And if someone figures out how to keep the radio on after you shut the car off you better tell me HOW!! LOL

I wish that were possible. When pulling up to pump gas and my family is sitting inside the car, they want to keep listening to the radio. Well, you have to cycle the infotainment back on and watch the little Nissan emblem video and Nissan Connect logo thing all over again. After about 30-45 seconds (if you were listening to blue tooth), you're back in business. 30-45 seconds is an eternity for my 13 year old daughter.

In our 2014 Durango, all you had to do was hit the start button again one time to keep it on accessory power after shutting off the engine. FCA allows everything to run on retained accessory power.

So apparently the whole "unlock when ignition off" and "unlock when shift into park" is now a menu option under "Settings" on the dash. I found it on the 2015 Platinum loaner car we're driving right now. Sorry if this is old news.

I'm going to ask if there is an update for my MO when I talk to the service dept next. The loaner car also displays the artist/song info when playing bluetooth music. My MO does not do that either.

Btw, the build date on the loaner car is 12/15.

Yes, apparently dealer can do the change. I will verify this myself since I have to go to dealership for other reasons. If you leave it as is, it eliminates the chance of a carjacker enters your car while you are parked and engine is running. This may not be apparent to you since who is thinking about carjcking! But if God forbids it happens once, you will appreciate the feature.

Yes, I've thought about it. I'm in law enforcement, so I'm in the habit of thinking about stuff like that. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say locked doors would eliminate the chances of being car jacked. How about "greatly reduce" the chances.

This is what my dealer told me:

Hi Assad,

There is a way to set this up. You have to go into your setting menu using the left side buttons on the steering wheel. In the last men, there is a the settings. In there, you'll find "vehicle setting." You should see some sort of locking option to initiate when you put the car in park. Let me know if you have trouble finding this option.

Did you buy the car there? Same dealer did mine for free.

It's in the driver settings! Anyone can do it and it takes 30 seconds! Not sure if your Murano is a 2016 but mine is and it is part of the driver settings.
I will take a photo of it and post it on here in the next couple of days.:)
PS My Murano is a Platinum, maybe that makes a difference.

I can say for sure that this is in the settings menu on the dash for the 2016 model which you get into using the controls on the steering wheel. It's in the last option which is the settings menu. You can also control the interior/exterior lights, intermittent wiper duration and so on and so forth.

Reading all this makes me wonder why this wasn't a easy user setting from the get go...jeez what a palava.

I asked my dealer to update the firmware/software to add this option. They either forgot to do it or they couldn't do it and they forgot to tell me.

Oh and the 2015 loaner that we had for a while did have this option in the settings menu. I believe the build date on that car was 12/15, but I'm not positive. When they gave it to us as a loaner on 4/2/16, it only had 45 miles on it, so it was a very late 2015.

I had mine changed at the dealer when I picked up the vehicle because they were convinced only they could do it (I'd been through the drill before when I bought my '11 LE). Just today I happened to stumble on the menu item described by bwebb6322 above.

Curiously, the option for "Automatic Unlock" does not appear in the PDF version of the '16 Owners Manual (I haven't looked in my print version) on the page listing the other relevant items for Selective Unlocking in Vehicle Settings. It must depend on whichever version of software was used in the car if some vehicles have the option and some don't.

However, I would never dare to ask my dealer if he could update the firmware in my Murano!
