Well, it is starting to get to that time.
The MO is getting a bit long in the tooth.....but still running OK.
Starting to look at various replacements.
Needs to Ride High. So CUV probable...
Good MPG is always good, but I NEED some power.
Towing is not required.
Neither is AWD.
Always looking for something with a little style.....
Would like to keep the price to less than 35K out the door.
A couple of points specific to me...
MUST be comfortable after a few hours in the saddle.
The MO was good at this. The Cadillac is outstanding. (Will normally take the Caddy on long trips but I don't want to be restricted by poor seats......)
iPod integration.....at least to the point that it is recharged and you can set volume and next track from steering wheel......
IF there is a problem here and/or the system is not "musical"......it MUST be replaceable. Never again will I get pushed into a corner like the MO, where it is, from a practical POV, impossible to replace the HU.
Not a Nissan. I recognize that Nissan builds a high value CUV.....but i have no intention of letting their piss pore service and customer dissatisfaction near another one of my cars again....
So far (Very early....haven't gone to a single dealer yet.....)
Acura RDX
Infiniti EX35 (Frankly i don't know if my bias against Ghosin can be overcome....)
Maxda CX7
VW Tiguan
Subaru Outback (SUV of the year for 2010)
Any thoughts on these?
Anything else to look at?
I have rejected the CRV. The Kia. The Hyundai models.
The Chevy equinox. The Ford Edge. (The big lambda model is great, but it is just too big)
Whatcha think?
Homer
