What do you wish was different on the MO?

I think we all agree that the MO is a great vehicle. However, a vehicle can't be perfect for everyone. I have loved all the vehicles that I have owned, but there is always something with them that I wish was different.

So I post this question to all of you MO fanatics:

What do you wish was different on the MO?

Now, before you answer, I'm meaning things that aren't really fixable, more design issues. For example, do NOT post "it rattles a lot" and stuff like that. I'm looking for comments like this:
I wish the MO could ________.
I wish the MO had a ________.
I wish the MO wouldn't _______.

I'll go first:

I wish the MO had better acceleration off the line. The initial kick (0-25mph) isn't very impressive. Helps when you put in in L, but still seems a little slow.

You do know of the elastic strap on the under side of the arm rest to attach your sunglasses case to right?

Actually I think the elastic strap is a pen holder (it doesn't work too well for pens, but holds my touch up paint pen from Courtesy quite well).

I have two pens up there that have the little clippy things attached. I slide the clip over the elastic, the pens sit in the little grooves, it works out perfectly.

My buddy just got a Lexus RX 330. We were doing a side by side, I had him beat until he pushed a button and auto-opened his hatch. Now that's a cool feature. (Of course I have about $12,000 left in the bank)

- sunglasses holder
- CVT that could handle 320 HP
- better cupholders
- better pick up 0 - 40 mph

Oh yeah, give me the new VQ40 from the new Pathfinder and an upgraded CVT please! :2:

Yeah, the power hatch would be a great retro fit, wouldn't it? I thought they were so silly and unnecessary until I rented a Caravan last week (didn't want to put miles on the MO) and it had the power side doors and rear hatch. What a great feature they are! Especially coming out of the grocery or Home Depot.

I wish [for] side marker/turn signals either on the front fender or the side mirrors.
Same here. Underside (or backside) of the side mirrors. I love the way it looks on the Mercedes coupes. I've also considered going with the aftermarket in-mirror red arrows a la the Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. That would give a nice custom look.

NMEA Out

I wish the nav had NMEA out. I picked up a serial cable and serial <-> usb adapter to bring my wardriving kit down to just my laptop and cellphone, but it would be nice if I had a DB9 or usb port hidden in, say, the change compartment. Or heck, as others have demonstrated, bluetooth output of the gps position data would be just great! I'll take it!

I have a SL Black MO

1. Power cloth seats WITH memory (any power seat it useless without memory settings)

2. HID Lights for the SL without the leather option

3. Out of the 2 trip/time-ometers that this car has (which is really cool) on should automatically reset itself each time the car is turned on (Trip #1 on the info display)

4. A hatchcover that does NOT rattle (any fixes for this yet besides removal?)

5. Add to the Car Speed Volume the ability to take into account the heating/cooling FAN speed. When the fan is on high the radio always has to be adjusted, then when the fan reduces in speed I always have to reduce the volume. This car is quiet so I don't find the SSV as necessary.

6. Redisgn interior door look to prevent accidental locking when open door.

7. Better dealer service/understanding of thier product

8. Better manaul control of when the AC "automatically" turns on

...would also like to set recirculate without the A/C coming on. Going thru smoke or sitting behind a diesel anything, but not hot enough to need the A/C. Annoying sometimes.

The AC comes on in recirculating because without it, your windows will fog up. However, I do know what you mean, that it is annoying to have the AC turn on if you do not need it. But in the case of recirculating, you kind of do need it.

Actually without AC and recirc is selected (assuming the AC doesn't turn on) will cause the windows to fog up. Hence the reason why Nissan decided to turn on the AC... to keep the windows from fogging up (and to allow the car to cool quicker).

However I agree that for a short period (like behind a stinky car) it is nice NOT to have the AC come on when this is selected.

Larger/wider opening sunroof.
Telescopic steering wheel, maybe powered - even better! Then it could be tied with the memory.
Move driver seat controls toward front of seat, same as passenger side.
More sound insulation. Quiet enough on a good road. Unfortunately, Missouri has lots of bad roads.

1. Power Telescoping Steering Wheel (I had this in my lexus)
2. Larger Sunroof (maybe the kind that tilts then goes back, would give it a cool look)
3. Power Rear Opening/Closing Hatch (like in the new RX330)
4. Side Markers/Signals on front of Mirrors (looked into aftermarket ones but the place said they did not have for the MO)
5. More AC Outlets
6. BETTER CUPHOLDERS!!!

A six speed manual and more HP.
Why, why, why, oh why would you get a MO if you didn't want the CVT? I see that as one of the huge factors pushing me TOWARDS the MO, not away from it....

Mesh screen for sun roof like the BMW and Mini's have.

Less automatic control of AC

Auto tilt down mirrors when car is placed into reverse

Standard reverse sensors in bumper (or as we say in MASS bumpas)

Ability to raise wipper arms without having to turn them and stop them mid way through cycle

Sun glass holder (Not that I don't have a place to put them but a safe dedicated place is nice.)
